Tamas Eless

I have been mad about Alfas since I bought my first one, a 156, in 1998. That was a disaster - first production line, 11 warranty repairs within the first 12 months. But the feeling... I learned that an Alfa is "the" car. So my next car was also an Alfa, another 156, - but a Selespeed, a perfect one! With only fuel and water added and oil changed, it still runs perfectly and is still with me.

Over the years, I infected my brother and all my friends, and all of them drive Alfas today. I have a Spider too (gold according to Alfisti; other folks would say metallic yellow), and now I have the long time admired Montreal. I found the car here, in my home country of Hungary, which is unbelievable!

On weekdays I ride my Vespa, while my Linda drives an Abarth. And I have a few other classic cars, such as an original Trabant from 1967 and a Lada 1200. But I do not have (and I do not even plan to have!) any "proper" German car, if you understand what I mean.

I feel fortunate that the Montreal that I found appears to be in extremely good condition. And I do hope that I will not have any sequel requiring further repairs, like some others who have got involved with classic cars. We shall see…
