The 2016 meeting was held in Belgium (local organiser Xavier Lemaire, Tel +32 478 521734) from 1 to 4 September. The meeting was held in the Dinant area in the Province of Namur, and based at the Castel de Pont-à-Lesse Hotel, situated in a beautiful region of forest and cliffs near the River Lesse. The meeting had the full support of the Dinant Administration, who arranged for free reserved parking in the city and a reception at the City Hall on 1 September. The weather was warm and sunny, and 98 participants attended with 60 cars including 45 Montreals.
The programme included a visit to the house of Adolphe Sax, and a lunch cruise on the Meuse up to Waulsort, with a stop at Freyr to visit the castle and gardens. On 2 September the Montreals were able to stretch their legs at the Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet. A visit was also made to the Citadel of Dinant and the Caves of Han, and there were guided tours of the Bocq Brewery in Purnode.
Xavier provided a detailed programme (6MB pdf) for the meeting in four languages. The Bernhard Schalbetter Memorial Trophy was awarded to Timo Jaatinen, who drove his Montreal to the meeting from Finland.
