The 31st meeting, which was organised by John van Eijnsbergen (Tel +31 653 749 949) and Arno Weiss in the area of Rotterdam from 14 to 17 September 2017, was attended by 82 people with 35 Montreals and 6 other Alfa Romeo cars. The meeting highlighted the maritime character of the Netherlands, which is dominated by the sea, ships, dikes, water, polders and mills. There was a sight-seeing tour of Rotterdam, visits to the Louwman Car Museum and a Heineken brewery, lunch on the SS Rotterdam, and a gala dinner cruise on the 1926 SS de Majesteit paddle steamer.
The meeting hotel was the 4-star Hotel der Valk Rotterdam-Ridderkerk, which was centrally located for the scheduled events, has a secure parking, and is readily accessible by motorway. A preliminary programme for the meeting was made available in five languages. The inclusive price was about EUR 1100 per team, and to avoid VAT having to be charged registered participants were sent an invoice from Crowner's Foundation about two months before the meeting.
